Chinese New Year 2019

The Chinese New Year (CNY) is one of the highest festivals in China and accordingly, it is also celebrated extensively. The New Year is not, as in Germany, on a fixed date, but is based on the lunar calendar. Therefore, the celebration can be between the 21st of January and the 21st of February.

The next New Year celebration will be celebrated on 05.02.2019.

Due to their importance and traditional preparation, most Chinese people are free at least one week before the New Year and New Year's week. For many workers, this is the only time in the year they can go home and meet their families.

For the economy, however, this means a big, annual problem. Almost all factories close before the New Year and start after the festival with maintenance and resumption of production.
In the New Year's week, practically nothing is produced in China and also the cargo planes operate only very limited. Shortly before the holidays, this is a very hectic process in the factories and no more orders will be accepted so that production will be completed until closure.

For European customers, this means that there will be no or very limited deliveries from China from mid-January to the end of February. Since we also procure almost all printed circuit boards from our parent company in Shenzhen, we too can not supply our customers with the Chinese New Year.

So that you do not come into delivery problems with your projects, we give you this information as early as possible and, as a small compensation for these restrictions, we offer you up to 10% discount on your orders.
