test of solderability
The solderability of the surface is of utmost importance for the further processing of the printed circuit boards. Even a perfectly produced circuit board can not be processed if the surface does not accept solder. The reasons for this are manifold and therefore solderability control is always required.
To ensure this, 1-2 samples are taken on each circuit board production and subjected to a test. The sample is immersed in the tin bath for 3 seconds at a temperature of 245°C. For a passed test, at least 95% of the pad surfaces must be wetted with solder.
The results are logged and can be made available to the customer in case of queries.
The costs for the preparation of a soldering test report are 10,00 € plus VAT per ordered article.
